Racing Clubs / Syndicates

By joining a Racing Club you are not a racehorse owner. Therefore by joining or becoming a member of a Racing Club you receive only the benefits of that Club.

This is a great introduction to racing at a low cost. You will pay anything from £100 to £500 per year for a share in the club

  • Most clubs will offer trips to the stables and will probably have interests in a number of racehorses. This will give you the chance to meet trainers probably for the first time.
  • There will be a monthly news letters and the more technical ones will email you and have an active web site for information.
  • There may be some ownership benefits including a share of prize money.
  • There are normally many hundreds of members so don't expect individual treatment. First come First served.

NB these clubs are set up to make money so watch out for the premium rate telephone lines for information and tips. The entrance fees is just the start, there will be competitions and ways that look like you can make money to extract that little bit more out of you..

The good news is that it will not cost an arm and leg and it does give you an insight to racing.

If you have had a good experience being part of a club you will probably want to go on and join a racing partnership
